[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide debt collection services on an as needed basis to the government authority located in Montana.
- Describe your process for acknowledging receipt of debt referral and initiating pre-collection activity within 5 days of receipt of the debt referral. Please state whether you will charge a lower fee or no fee for funds collected within 15 days as a result of these pre-collect contacts and define your pre-collect contact process.
- Describe your processes and record keeping related to follow-up contacts, making payment arrangements and any other necessary communication with the debtor. Provide samples of form letters used for accounts receivable and collection efforts.
- Provide a detailed description of your legal services and processes, including litigation and judgement process and services. Explain what fees and interest are assessed and added to the debt when debts are placed for judgment or once a judgment is obtained.
- Occasionally, MSF will request to withdraw or pull back a placement made for other reasons. Describe your process for returning placements.
- The successful Offeror must agree to maintain complete and accurate records, and complete monthly reports in an understandable and legible electronic format separated by debtor type (claim, policy, other) which shall include the name of the debtor; MSF claim number, policy number or substitute identifying information; date of referral; debt referral amount; any payments, including date received; collection status, and a summary of the collection effort.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than October 2, 2020
