[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide consultant services to augment in-house resources for construction inspection to the government authority located in Montana.
- Performs surveying including instrument setup, rodman, note taker, data collector setup and survey operations. Performs standard construction surveying such as running line and establishing control points, including instrument operation and note keeping duties. This may include the use of data collectors.
- This may include the use of data collectors. Perform accuracy checks on survey instruments. Adjusts leveling bubbles, cross-hairs, peg a level, complete baseline test on electronic distance meters and adjust tribrachs, as needed.
- Inspects backfill and embankment to ensure materials, moisture content, lift depths, and compaction methods comply with plans and specifications. Performs or witnesses collection of samples of material in the field for testing.
- Prepares and maintains field notes including documentation of quantities, finish grade control checks, material sampling, testing, etc. Prepares and maintains notes/templates in Site Manager daily work reports.
- Performs inspection of hot plant and paving operations. Inspection includes tracking material quantities, scale certifications, lime feed calibration, bag-house fines, aggregate feed and oil feed calibration, monitoring volumetric test data and compaction of plant mix pavements to ensure compliance to plans and specifications.
- Inspects culverts for type, size, and conditions. Performs inspection to assure that installation of culverts and approved materials comply with plans and specifications.
