[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide professional consulting forester management services to design and implement forestry treatments, Hazard trees are defined as trees that could potentially fall into areas frequented by humans or damage manmade structures, Hazard trees may include (but are not limited to) dead trees, dying trees, trees with dead limbs or tops, forked trees, trees showing signs of disease or damage that would make them more susceptible to windthrow or breakage, shallow rooted trees and leaning trees,
- Fuels reduction thinning (a.k.a. shaded fuel breaks) adjacent to private property with structures and along main access roads,
- Address stand susceptibility to Douglas-fir bark beetle and armillaria root rot by promoting western larch and ponderosa pine over Douglas-fir,
- Protect wildlife trees that do not pose a threat to human safety, including live trees and snags with signs of nesting or cavity-dwelling wildlife,
- Utilize mechanized and nonmechanized forest treatment methods in such a way to minimize ground disturbance and impacts to the residual stand,
- Utilize cost effective treatment methods and minimize costs and secure fair market value for all forest products removed, etc. to the government authority located in Montana.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
